Due to our air conditioning being out, the La Moille Library will be closed this afternoon and all day tomorrow to ensure the safety and comfort of our patrons and staff.

We plan to reopen on Thursday during our normal business hours.

🌼🍦 What a Sweet Start to Story Hour! 🍦🌼

Our first Children’s Story Hour of the summer was a blooming success! Last week’s theme was Plant a Flower, and the children had a wonderful time enjoying stories, activities, and learning about flowers and how they grow. 🌱🌸

To make the day even sweeter, the La Moille Library treated all of our Story Hour participants to an ice cream cone at Stacy May's! 🍦 There were plenty of smiles as everyone cooled off and celebrated a fun morning together.

Thank you to all the families who joined us! We love creating these special memories with our community and can’t wait to see everyone again.

🦸‍♀️💙 What a SUPER Story Hour we had yesterday at the LaMoille Library! 💙🦸‍♂️

Our superhero-themed Story Hour focused on the everyday heroes in our lives—moms, dads, grandparents, teachers, librarians, first responders, and all the people whose kindness and care make a difference every day.

We began by reading “My Mom Is a Librarian,” a book with a very special connection to our library family. Written by Bill Kozeal as a tribute to his wife, the story follows a young boy who loves to read and sees his mom, a librarian, as a real-life superhero. It was the perfect way to introduce our theme and a touching way to remember Bill. ❤️📚

After our stories, the children had a blast creating their own superhero masks and capes before proudly showing them off in a group photo. Their creativity—and their superhero poses—made for the perfect ending to a fun-filled morning!

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We love seeing our library filled with laughter, creativity, and community.

💙 The greatest superheroes aren’t always the ones in comic books—they’re the people who love, encourage, and inspire us every day.
