Lining has begun today! This is an efficient and cost-effective way to preserve our existing assets and reduce harmful inflow and infiltration of stormwater into the City's collection system and ultimately increasing operations costs at our waste water treatment plants.

In the event of an earthquake its important to have resources stocked near you in case they're made unavailable to you. Things such as extra water, food, clothes, first aid, etc. Unique items can be added to meet your needs such as radios, space blankets, and pet supplies! If you have any questions on how to get started building your own kit please reach out to us here or look at organizations such as FEMA, the Red Cross, and the CDC! Tomorrow we'll be sharing information on our closet possibility for earthquakes, the New Madrid Fault Line!

10/08/2023

This is the New Madrid Fault Line that runs on the southeast side of Missouri. This is one of many predictions on damages that could occur if an earthquake were to occur again. We urge all to be prepared for this and any other senario as we are in the damage radius. Please use the knowledge we've shared this week to better prepare yourself for the future. If you'd like to see more information on the NMFL please follow the link below! https://www.usgs.gov/programs/earthquake-hazards/new-madrid-seismic-zone

The trash service emailed the city this morning that the trucks will not run. Talk about short notice.

It's recommended to leave trash cans on the curb. They'll get picked up asap. The company is planning to just push pickup day back a day. That means some of their workers are working Saturday. Please be kind & thank them for their work. You took a trash can to the curb a day early. They're working a Saturday that they didn't really expect to.
