At last nights training, firefighters refreshed their skills using ladders on an empty structure in La Plata. First and foremost, we would like to thank the property owners for allowing us to use the structure for our training. Firefighters were able to learn new skills and refresh old ones in ladder placement, firefighter safety, victim rescue, and ventilation operations. We’re always training to provide the best possible services to our citizens, neighbors, and visitors.

The LCFPD is excited to receive the order of the districts first electric extrication tool. This TNT Rescue Systems, Inc. Combi Tool will benefit the district for many years to come! At tonight’s training, your LCFPD Firefighters were able to use the tool in various situations and become familiar with the new technology.

At the LCFPD, we are committed to providing the most up to date equipment for our volunteers. Ensuring that the best possible care can be provided to our citizens, neighbors, and visitors.

The LCFPD would like to thank Tyler Davis with Northeast Fire Apparatus and Equipment and Jon's Mid America Fire Apparatus for the assistance in this purchase.

The LCFPD received both the MFA Incorporated Volunteer Fire Department Grant and the MFA Oil Foundation Grant. Each grant awarded $2,000 to the district. The planned purchases for the two grants was Rope, Water, and Ice Rescue equipment. This new equipment enhances our capabilities as a district and ensures we have the proper safety equipment needed for multiple types of rescue operations. We would like to thank both MFA Oil and MFA Incorporated for their support to all fire departments across Missouri.
