***WEATHER UPDATE***

After consulting with meteorologists early this morning and out of an abundance of caution, La Porte ISD will be closed today, Tuesday, Sept. 1, due to the potential for local flooding and hazardous road conditions later in the day.

We will continue to monitor conditions and consult regularly with area meteorologists and will provide updates as needed.

Please avoid unnecessary travel, use caution if you must be on the roads, and never drive through flooded roadways. Most importantly, please stay safe and take care of yourselves and your families.

New season, new traditions! 🏈🐺

Tonight our coaching staff hosted our 8th grade football families for a season kickoff cookout. Parents helped their students place the stickers on their helmets & the evening concluded with Coach Marsh grilling enough burgers to feed a whole football team.

At Lomax Junior High, we believe a legacy lives on through the lives we touch and the inspiration we leave behind.

To honor the legacy of Aimee Licce, we established the Aimee Licce Lobo Robotics Legacy Award to recognize an outstanding student who demonstrates excellence in robotics and embodies the dedication, innovation, and Lobo spirit that make our robotics program so special.

For the 2025–2026 school year, we were incredibly proud to present this special award to Tenion Hardin for his excellence in robotics!

Congratulations, Tenion! We know you will continue to Raise the Bar and Lead the Pack!

Through this award, Aimee’s legacy will continue to inspire generations of Lobos to learn, create, innovate, and leave a legacy of their own.
