*NO TAX RATE INCREASE* We are a group of La Porte ISD community members who are committed to the success of our students, district, and community at large. We fully support all 3 propositions on the La Porte ISD ballot on May 6, 2023. Prop A includes improvements at every campus, safety & security enhancements, additional resources & equipment, a professional development space, field house, buses

and more. Prop C includes a full rebuild of Bulldog Stadium on its current site. Our stadium is well beyond its useful life and must be replaced. Let's give our kids the stadium they deserve! All this can be done WITHOUT INCREASING THE TAX RATE! How? The taxable value of LPISD has increased so significantly since the 2014 bond that we can afford to sell bonds in this amount without having to increase the I&S tax rate to pay off the debt. In fact, LPISD has decreased the tax rate by more than 20 cents since the 2014 bond. Long story short: the growth in industry in La Porte is paying for these projects. Our schools, students, and community need these projects. VOTE FOR ALL 3 PROPOSITIONS! Early Voting is April 24 - May 2. Election Day is Saturday, May 6, 2023.

No tax rate increase! That’s right, the LPISD tax rate won’t increase as a result of this bond! If your property taxes go up, that’s because of the Harris County Appraisal District, not LPISD. Why would you say no??

Did you catch this story on ABC 13? Recapture is impacting our school district and our property taxes are being sent to the state. LPISD will pay roughly $60M to the state this year, while Deer Park ISD will only pay $20M. We need this bond to pass so we can guarantee our district will have the funds needed to repair classrooms, provide devices for teachers, and continue fostering an incredible education for our kids. https://abc13.com/texas-recapture-school-funding-robin-hood-system-finance/13202290/
