Gone but never forgotten.

02/13/2026

Today we remember the brave souls who ventured out into unforgiving seas February 12, 1997. A Coast Guard crew responded to the calls for aid from a distressed sailboat when disaster struck.

29 years later we continue to honor and remember our shipmates who gave the ultimate sacrifice and gave everything so that other may live.

BM2 David Bosley, MK3 Matthew Schlimme, and SN Clinton Miniken will never be forgotten. Their acts of heroism will always be commemorated.
