Mark your calendars for this years Lake Redstone Biggest Musky Contest. Saturday September 19th and 20th. New this year will be a kick off party held at Weg’s Bait Shop Friday September 18th from 4-8pm, with food, raffles, and great musky talk. Can’t wait to see you all there and hope to see lots of great fish caught. All contestants must sign up at the bait shop prior to the start of fishing Saturday the 19th.

This Saturday is the Mauston Fishing Derby at Mauston's Riverside park, just north of Lake Redstone.
A nice way to spend Saturday morning fishing. Prizes to the biggest carp, biggest catfish and biggest gamefish caught.
> Get a $5 coupon to the 4H food stand at next week's Juneau County Fair just for signing up to fish.
> While you're there you can renew your membership, or join, the Lake Redstone Fishing Club
> Our UTV Raffle tickets will also be on sale!

Bragging Board update!

Rich Modjeski with a nice Smallmouth Bass to take over the lead in the bronze back category

This year's Whiskers Catfish & Bullhead Tournament on Lake Redstone was a big success - thanks goes out to our club volunteers: Nicholas, Derek, Sam, Matt and Margaret.

The results:
Jesse Even won the Big Cat trophy with a 16.6 pound channel catfish.
He and Gavin G combined to take first place overall for the Team prize and the big trophy.

Triston Schmidt had the second biggest catfish at 14.5 pounds, plus a bonus for the biggest fish caught by a youth.
Jim Gore got the 3rd place catfish with a lively 13.8 pounder.
Out biggest bullhead winner was Jim Fredrickson.

Thanks goes to Weg's Bait Shop for taking pre-registrations to let us debut the overnight fishing format. Overall, we had 21 catfish weighed via the switch to low-light fishing, and cooperative weather.
