Halloween is one of our city's most beloved traditions, but it also brings unique safety challenges.

To ensure all our little princesses, superheroes, and zombies have a safe night of fun, Mayor Jason Cole has proclaimed October 27-31 as "Halloween Safety Week" in the City of La Vergne!

We especially ask motorists to be vigilant during trick-or-treat hours:
• Reduce your speed and watch carefully for pedestrians.
• Avoid distractions from devices.
• Remember that costumes can limit a child's visibility.

A huge thank you to the La Vergne Police Department for their work, and to all our citizens for helping to protect our most valuable resource—our children!
