La Vergne Public Works In addition to street, water, and sewer, there is the City mapping and fleet management teams. Work hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.

The Public Works Department is responsible for ensuring that the City’s infrastructure – streets, water, and sewer lines – are installed, maintained and repaired as needed. The water distribution and sewer collection systems team is responsible for maintaining and repairing any city sewer lines. The street maintenance and fleet team maintains and repairs city streets. This team coordinates the chi

pper service and salts streets during severe weather conditions. Work hours are Monday through Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm. The City of La Vergne invites and encourages people to discuss issues affecting the City on its social media sites, which serve as limited public forums. However, the City of La Vergne will not allow posts to remain that include:

This week, beginning June 8th, the brush truck crew will be in Zone 3 and Zone 5. Brush truck piles must be in the front yard near the curb to be picked up. They cannot be bigger than 10' long x 5' wide x 5' high. Limbs cannot be larger than 6" around. Piles cannot include rocks, lumber, metal, or landscaping materials. Brown disposable bags filled with leaves will be collected. Black plastic bags will not be collected.
The brush truck crew will not collect brush piles if a 3rd party contractor is hired to do work on your property. The contractor is responsible for hauling and disposing of trimmings.
If the pile on your property does not meet these specifications, the brush truck crew will not return to your property until the next rotation when they are in your zone again. If the crew cannot safely collect your brush, a door knocker will be left on your front door or mailbox.
The public works department does not keep a list of properties that have brush to be collected.

La Vergne’s 2025 Water Quality Report is now available.

The annual Consumer Confidence Report provides a detailed look at your drinking water quality, including testing conducted throughout 2025, regulatory compliance, treatment performance, and information about the city’s water system.

Some highlights from this year’s report include:

• The water treatment plant achieved an average Total Organic Carbon removal rate of 52.60%, exceeding the required 15% standard.
• Total Trihalomethanes remained well below federal limits, with the highest annual average measured at 46.33 parts per billion.
• Haloacetic Acids also remained well below regulatory limits, with the highest annual average measured at 29.80 parts per billion.
