🇺🇸🎆 FIREWORK SAFETY REMINDER FROM LAVERKIN CITY 🎆🇺🇸
As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends, we want to remind everyone that Governor Cox’s Executive Order 2026-04 prohibits the discharge of personal fireworks within municipal boundaries due to extreme drought conditions and the elevated wildfire risk throughout Utah.
The safety of our residents, homes, businesses, and surrounding public lands remains our highest priority. With dry conditions across Southern Utah, a single spark can have serious consequences for our community.
🚫 Personal fireworks are prohibited within LaVerkin City limits
👮 Law enforcement officers will be actively enforcing this order. Violations may result in fines of up to $1,000.
We encourage everyone to celebrate safely by attending one of the many professional fireworks displays being held throughout the area. These events provide a great opportunity to enjoy the holiday while helping reduce the risk of wildfire.
We know our community takes pride in looking out for one another, and we appreciate your cooperation as we work together to keep LaVerkin safe this holiday weekend.
Have a safe and happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸
