Jeff Garris retired from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and SWAT team after a distinguished 30-year career and was awarded the Courage Under Hostile Fire Award for his response during the Tree of Life Synagogue massacre in 2018. He moved to California just 2 months ago, hoping to enjoy his retirement and be closer to his older son. Tragically Jeff just lost everything to the Pacific Palisades fire.
