We will lay the memorial wreathes Saturday December 13, 2025 at La Verne Cemetery. I hope that you can join us to Remember, Honor, Teach this Saturday!

Some helpful suggestions and information to make this another wonderful year at WAA:

• Please arrive prior to our start time at 9:00am as we will be starting right at 9:00 to coincide with the nationwide ceremony being led at Arlington National Cemetery.

• Street Parking is available along B Street, come early to park closer. Please do not block driveways or double-park, as this causes issues for our neighbors. Individuals with Disability parking plates or placards are welcome to park inside the cemetery along the driveways, away from the crowd, but we recommend that you try to arrive early.

• Bring a chair if you need to sit, as chairs will not be set up or provided. Our ceremony is short, about 20 minutes, with wreath placement immediately after, so most people won't need a chair.

• Facilities will be available for use.

• Refreshments (coffee, donut holes, water, and juice) will be provided. Donations are always welcome but not required.

This event is open to the public, families are encouraged to come! It is a wonderful event that is a great way to honor our local veterans and learn about veterans service and sacrifice.

This is definitely a topic worth discussing. We have seen some close calls with kids on e-bikes! Monday, Dec 1st at City Hall!

Join the Conversation: E-Bike Discussion on December 1

With the surge in e-bike and scooter use across La Verne, staff and residents have observed an uptick in unsafe riding behaviors, including high speeds on sidewalks, stunt riding, and minors operating high-powered devices. At this meeting, the City Council will hold a focused discussion on whether La Verne should adopt a local ordinance to support safer, more responsible use of e-bikes and other powered devices.

📅 City Council Meeting: Monday, December 1
🕕 Time: 6:30 PM
📍 Attend In-Person: La Verne City Hall
💻 Join via Zoom: laverneca.gov/zoom

Your input matters. Whether you ride an e-bike, share the road, or simply want safer streets for everyone, we encourage you to attend and be part of the discussion. Let’s work together to support safe, responsible mobility in La Verne.
