We are not sure who the generous lady and child are, but we want to thank you for what you did.
Your small act of kindness went a long way. We are grateful you helped out. If you would message us, we would like to give you a personal thanks.

This is how dedicated our firemen are. They will even run to the station to respond to an emergency.

If you would like to help, we would gladly accept you with open arms. We need assistance in every aspect of running a business. It’s not only about running emergency calls. Your local volunteer fire department could always use your help.

Today, we honor and thank **all the past, present, and future volunteer firefighters** who have answered the call to serve their communities.

To those who have stood on the front lines, responded in the middle of the night, missed holidays and family moments, faced danger without hesitation, and gave their time, energy, and hearts to help others — **THANK YOU!**

To the volunteers who came before us, we honor your legacy.
To those serving today, we appreciate your sacrifice and dedication.
And to those who will answer the call in the future, we thank you for carrying the torch forward.

Volunteer firefighters don't do it for recognition. They do it because **someone has to answer the call.**

Tonight Labadieville and StJohn departments hosted an Airmed Landing class.
StJohn Fire Department offered their training room to allow for a larger group to attend.
Fire Departments represented were Labadieville, StJohn, Choctaw, Napoleonville, and Thibodaux.
All together more than 45 volunteers gave up their evening to better understand what is needed to land an Acadian Ambulance AirMed helicopter. This training is another way the volunteers can assist with insuring their community gets prompt advanced medical care during their time of need and allowing the medics to concentrate on medical care of their patient.

All of us that attend tonights training would like to thank Harry Orgeron BSN/NREMTP of AirMed 2 for taking his time to insure we were all knowledgeable and able to land Airmed safely when needed.

If you would like to give thanks to your community, join your local Volunteer Fire Department. It’s not just fighting fires.

The residents served by the volunteer fire departments in Bayou L’Ourse, Labadieville, Napoleonville, Paincourtville, and Pierre Part are requested to support their fire departments by voting to renew a 5 mil tax on June 27.

This millage provides essential funding dedicated to the operation and maintenance of local fire departments.Renewing this millage is vital to the sustained operation and enhancement of all Assumption Parish fire departments. Without these funds, maintaining current emergency service levels within the parish would be exceedingly difficult.Since the inception of this tax, property insurance premiums across the parish have decreased. These savings were made possible through investments in fire trucks, equipment, and station construction funded by this millage, directly contributing to lower insurance rates.

Last year, parish fire departments responded to over 1236 calls. Renewal of this tax will enable firefighters to continue dedicating their time to training, equipment maintenance, and, most importantly, safeguarding lives and property.

Assumption Parish Fire Departments provide protection with:18 Fire Trucks
12 Rescue Units
12 Fire Stations
153 Volunteer Firefighters Please vote YES to renew the 5-mil property tax supporting your fire departments.Thank you,Assumption Parish Fire Departments!
