PRESS RELEASE: BETHEL ROAD STRUCTURE FIRE

Good morning AVFR Friends. Please see the attached press release on the Bethel Road structure fire in Arbor Vitae early this morning. This was one of two structure fires across the area during the overnight hours, that AVFR responded to. The first was at Sheri’s Pub and Grub in Minocqua. AVFR Companies were re-directed back to Arbor Vitae shortly after arriving at the Minocqua fire to combat this incident.

Arbor Vitae Fire Rescue wishes to give special thanks to the Arbor Vitae Kwik Trip for providing breakfast sandwiches for the crews, and to a private citizen who provided home-made sandwiches. Your efforts are worth more than can be imagined. We are indebted to you.

We further thank the following departments/agencies for their assistance: St. Germain Fire and Ambulance, Plum Lake Fire and Ambulance, Boulder Junction Fire and rehab, Manitowish Waters Fire Company, Vilas County Sheriff’s Office, Vilas County Dispatch, Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, and Wisconsin Public Service.

Arbor Vitae Fire will not be providing any additional updates on this incident. The Vilas County Sheriff’s Office is the lead agency for this investigation.
