Every day, the Gunslingers of the 67th Cyberspace Wing perform some of the most technically demanding work in the Air Force. And the Department of War took notice.

This week, the DoW announced the Cyber Mastery Incentive Pay program. Part of the Secretary of War-approved CYBERCOM 2.0 effort, C-MIP replaces the one-size-fits-all pay models the Department has relied on for years, and instead ties compensation directly to certified skill level and the demands of the job.

"It is a strategic initiative to attract, develop, and retain the specialized workforce needed to counter threats, deter aggression, and dominate the cyber domain," said Anthony J. Tata, Under Secretary of War for Personnel and Readiness.

The program takes effect October 1, 2026. More to come.

Our leaders take Airman feedback seriously. After sensing sessions at the 375th Cyberspace Operations Squadron revealed the unique pressures of round-the-clock cyber operations, leadership worked with the 67th COG to embed chaplain personnel directly into their secure mission spaces--putting support where Airmen need it most.

"Our team is seeing a transformation in physical, mental, spiritual, and social fitness—all pillars of comprehensive fitness," said Lt. Col. Dylan Slagle, 375th COS commander. "Our unit first sergeant and the embedded chaplain personnel are at the center of it. Because of their actions, we have surged capability, readiness, and morale—and motivation has remained rock solid."
