Happy National Dog Day from Borko! (Pending Adoption)

Borko is a 4 year old German Shepherd who has been waiting for a very long time to find his forever family. He deserves the chance to finally be someone’s dog and we are looking for that special person.

Borko spent his time as a training aid for our Trainers Course, working with nine different handlers. He has given a lot to our program, and now he’s been waiting for someone to give him a home of his own.

Borko was medically retired due to an immunodeficiency, which makes him more susceptible to infections. He also has Inflammatory Bowel Disease, which is managed with a prescription diet and medication. His medical needs mean he will need an adopter who is committed to keeping up with his care.

He is incredibly toy-driven and can be difficult to manage when asked to give up a toy. He also does not enjoy veterinary visits and may redirect, so he will need to be muzzled at the vet. Because of these behaviors, Borko would do best with someone who has experience with working dogs and understands their unique needs.

Borko may not be the easiest dog looking for a home, but we believe there is someone out there who will look beyond his challenges and see the wonderful dog underneath them.

Meet XXena 💘 (Adopted)

This feisty girl is a 1yr 8 month old Belgian Malinois. XXena was unable to complete puppy pre training due to low drive, poor environmental stability, and some teeth issues that resulted in the loss of 5 molars.

Little XXena is a ball of energy and has the typical personality of a young Malinois. She’ll do best in a home that is familiar with her breed and that has the time, energy, and patience to keep up with her and train her.

Meet George!💙 (Adopted)

George is an almost 2 year old German Shepherd mix. He was eliminated from initial training due to training deficiencies, including being highly distractible, having low motivation, and routinely disengaging from training.

George is an active guy and he’ll thrive in a home that can provide structure, patience, and plenty of mental stimulation. He’s also a strong puller on walks and will need someone willing to continue working with him on his leash manners.

Meet Sonja 💓 (Pending Adoption)

This pretty girl is a 2.5yr old German Shepherd. Sonja was eliminated from training for low drive and being easily distracted.

Sonja is a friendly and playful dog that still has that puppy energy! She loves toys and seems to enjoy the water. She’ll do best in a home that can keep up with her and has the time and patience to dedicate to her training.

Meet Duck 💛 (Adopted)

This handsome boy is a 4.5 year old male German Shepherd. Duck was utilized as a training aid for our Handlers Course where he helped develop 10 students into the handlers they are today. Duck was medically retired from the program for inflammatory bowel disease and atopic dermatitis.

Duck is a sweet boy that enjoys toys and is often seen carrying with his emotional support kong.

Meet Drago 🩵

This special boy is a 4.5yr old German Shepherd. Drago was utilized as a training aid for our Trainers Course team where he worked with 5 handlers. He was eliminated from training for fear and gunfire reactivity.

Drago is a great dog, but very selective with who he likes. He loves to play with toys, enjoys being in water, and loves treats. He will do best in a home environment with MWD experience and no children.
