It is a beautiful evening to be at Waterworks Park for National Night Out sponsored by Henry PD. There is still plenty of time to get over for the law enforcement demonstrations and to see what the social services in our community have to offer. We will be here until 8pm.

The first segment of Marshall County to Peoria St. Jude Runners are off. Marshall County St. Jude Runners will be running Rt. 29 southbound from Henry this morning and will be arriving at the Lacon Marina at 7:30am for a send off. Our area will be seeing many different run groups today as they pass through heading to Peoria. Please use extreme caution when approaching and passing run groups.

☀️🍧 MCSO Popsicle Patrol is coming to the Wenona Family Night! 🍧☀️

Beat the heat and stop by the MCSO Popsicle Patrol on Thursday, August 6, from 5:30–7:30 PM during Wenona’s Family Night!

Popsicle Patrol will be paired with our Junior Deputies Obstacle Course, making it the perfect stop for kids and families. Grab a FREE popsicle, test your skills on the obstacle course, and meet some of the members of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

We can’t wait to see everyone for an evening of fun, smiles, and community before the school year gets underway!

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is seeking applications to fill a current vacancy for the position of: Part-Time Corrections Officer
- No experience required
- $23.50/hr. starting pay, increase after 6 month training period
- 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am) with flexible schedule and various hours available
- .20/hr. shift differential for night shift
- 2% education pay for Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or Bachelors Degree in any field.
- Uniforms and equipment provided

Meet some of our deputies , pick up a free honorary deputy badge, pens/pencils, coloring book for the kids, and learn more about important community programs.

We will also have registration information available for our Linked Special Needs Program (More information and registration also on our website). This voluntary program allows parents and guardians to provide important information about their child, including medical, communication, sensory, or behavioral needs. In the event of an emergency, deputies and first responders can quickly access this information to better respond to and care for your child.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s office announced the results of the “July Fourth Traffic Enforcement” detail. During the campaign, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office took the following actions: 25 hours of focused patrol, a total of 50 stops were conducted with 16 speeding citations issued, 13 petty or registration related citations issued, 1 distracted driving citation, and 1 arrest for driving revoked. Additional efforts by Patrol Deputies resulted in 56 other traffic stops during this period.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with more than 200 other state and local law enforcement agencies conducting the crackdown, which featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities including a media campaign.

The Illinois Independence Day enforcement campaign is funded with federal highway safety dollars administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation and supported by the Illinois State Police and local law enforcement agencies across the state. It’s reinforced with IDOT’s “It’s Not a Game” media campaign, which shares real stories of Illinois residents lost in fatal crashes.

There are no extra lives, no respawns, and no second chances to get it right. Drive sober or get pulled over.
