Belknap Mill Located in the heart of Laconia, the Historic Belknap Mill is the Official Meetinghouse of NH. visit www.belknapmill.org/museum

Built in 1823, the Belknap Mill is the oldest, unaltered brick textile mill in the United States. The Belknap Mill was one of the first mills to convert from weaving to knitting during the Civil War. As one of the first listed buildings on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, the Belknap Mill shows how preservation and history can combine in a community-based museum and cultural arts center.

🎃 Calling All Artists!

Do you have a Halloween, autumn, or pumpkin-themed creation you'd like to share with the community?

Throughout October, we'll be showcasing local artwork inspired by the spirit of Laconia Pumpkin Festival, and we'd love to feature your work! Whether you create paintings, photography, fiber arts, sculptures, mixed media pieces, rugs, or other seasonal creations, we welcome submissions from artists of all ages and experience levels.

✨ Participation is free!

This is a wonderful opportunity to share your creativity, connect with the community, and be part of a month-long celebration of local talent and fall traditions.

Artwork may be dropped off at the Belknap Mill Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For more information, please contact [email protected].

🌞 As summer comes to a close, the backpacks are coming out, and another incredible season of Kids in the Park has come to an end. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us this summer for a season filled with creativity, laughter, and fun.

✨ A special thank you to IMPACT Fairytale Theatre NCCA Jean's Playhouse for their amazing performances that brought stories to life and delighted audiences of all ages. Thank you to Tiny Artists for providing fun creative crafts after each event, giving children the opportunity to explore their imaginations and create something special to take home.

🤝 We are also incredibly grateful to all of our wonderful community partners who joined us throughout the summer and helped make each event a success.

Finally, a very special thank you to the Greater Lakes Region Children's Fund and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for sponsoring Kids in the Park. Your generous support made it possible to offer a summer of free creative fun for children and families in our community. 💙

There's plenty happening at Belknap Mill this week! 🧶 Join our Fiber Arts Group on Tuesday, experience Jeremy Bonin's Quiet Places Remain photography exhibition, and take a guided tour of the historic Belknap Mill with Kathy Anderson on Wednesday at 11 AM or 1 PM.
