In recognition of National Safety Month, our Teen CERT and Adult CERT students had the opportunity to learn from Detective Horan of the Laconia Police Department about active threat incidents, gaining both national context and practical preparedness strategies. Bringing together perspectives from law enforcement and community preparedness helps broaden the knowledge at our table, strengthening community readiness and helping create safer, more resilient communities for all.

Although this video is meant to be comical, boating under the influence is a serious issue. Keeping our lakes safe takes all of us. Before heading out on the water, make a plan and choose a designated driver. Safe boating starts with collective responsibility.⛵️

Memorial Day sits as a reminder of the service that our veterans and first responders have put in for us, some even with the ultimate sacrifice. It takes the work of a collective community to support them the way they need. Join us today in honoring their sacrifice.

We had a conversation with Jeff from Camp Resilience last week on our podcast. You can find the link in our bio!

Today is National Stop the Bleed Day 🩸A reminder that everyday people can save lives.

We’re proud to see both our high school and adult Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) students learning critical Stop the Bleed skills, gaining the confidence to step in during an emergency and make a difference when every second counts. Through training like this, we continue building safer, stronger, and more prepared communities together.

Spring’s in full bloom, so we asked our staff a very important question: what’s your favorite flower? 🌷🌼🌻

Turns out our team has pretty good taste. Different favorites, different personalities, all part of what makes our work together so strong.

New Hampshire’s new “Social District” law goes into effect May 21 in Laconia, allowing cities and towns to create designated areas where adults 21+ can legally purchase alcoholic beverages from participating businesses and enjoy them outdoors within approved boundaries.

What does that mean? On Thursday's, Friday's, and Saturday's, you may begin seeing designated “sip & stroll” areas with posted signage, hours, and rules for public alcohol consumption.

As this new law rolls out across the state, the reminder stays the same: drink responsibly. Plan ahead, stay aware of your surroundings, never drink and drive impaired, and look out for one another. Safe communities start with shared responsibility. 🍻💙

In honor of EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Week, we wanted to highlight the important role our community paramedics play in our Winnipausakee Mobile Health (WMH) program, also known as Mobile Integrated Health (MIH). 🚑💙

Led by the Laconia Fire Department, Partnership for Public Health, and Concord Hospital, WMH is collective impact in action. It connects emergency services, public health, and clinical care to support Lakes Region residents beyond emergency response.
