Today, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selfless commitment to protecting the freedoms we enjoy will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we ask everyone to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the day and remember those who gave everything for our nation.

From all of us at Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid Association, we extend our gratitude to our fallen heroes and their families.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Ret. Chief Ken Erickson delivers a no-nonsense look at decision-making under pressure, built for current officers and those stepping into leadership roles.

You’ll walk away with practical insight on:
✔️ Situational awareness
✔️ Common errors and injury trends
✔️ Resource management and water supply realities
✔️ Red flags you can’t afford to miss

This isn’t theory—it’s real-world application you can use on your next call.

The LRMFA Training Division is excited to share that our OMT FF2 class wrapped up yesterday. Over the last 6 weeks, this group of 17 students from departments across New Hampshire came together every Saturday with one common goal: to learn, grow, and challenge themselves in the fire service.

From long training days to hands-on evolutions, this class showed dedication, teamwork, and a strong commitment to improving their skills every single week. We could not be more proud of the effort they put in throughout the program, and we’re excited to watch their futures in the fire service continue to grow.

To the many instructors who gave up their Saturdays to teach, mentor, and pass along their knowledge and experience thank you. Programs like this do not happen without your commitment to the next generation of firefighters.

Remember: training never truly ends. Never stop learning, never stop training, and never get comfortable in this profession.

Over the weekend, our Firefighter 2 class was in Belmont at Foley Oil & Propane for their Flammable Liquids and Foam training. This hands-on training gave students the opportunity to work through real-world propane and flammable liquid fire scenarios in a controlled environment — the kind of experience that simply can’t be replicated in a classroom.

A huge thank you to Foley Oil & Propane for allowing us to train on their property, and especially to Rob from Foley Oil & Propane for spending the day with the class sharing his knowledge, experience, and expertise. Strong partnerships between the fire service and local industry are critical to keeping both responders and our communities safe.

We also want to recognize the instructors and students who spent the day in the rain putting in the work. Training days are not always glamorous, but they are where confidence, competence, and teamwork are built.
