🚒 High Water 401 is Officially In Service! 🚒

C&B Fire Department is proud to announce that High Water 401 is now officially in service and ready to respond when our community needs it most.

This specialized high-water rescue vehicle enhances our ability to access flooded areas, transport personnel and equipment, and assist with water rescue operations during severe weather and other emergencies. As flooding continues to be one of the greatest hazards in our area, High Water 401 strengthens our commitment to protecting the citizens we serve.

We are excited to add this valuable resource to our fleet and look forward to putting it to work when called upon.

We will climb to the top of the Empire State Building to yell…

🚨 911 is ONLY for life-threatening emergencies, serious injuries, crimes in progress, or fires.

If your neighbor’s fireworks are loud, your fries are cold, or someone parked in “your spot”… we promise the echo won’t make it any clearer. 😅

Incident Alert - Unusual Incident.

This afternoon C&B Fire Department was dispatched by Charleston County Consolidated Emergency Communications Center to an Aircraft Emergency in the area of College Park Rd and Industrial for a single-engine plane that had gone down after reporting an engine failure.

Crews arrived on the scene to find a single-engine plane in the field at the Coastal Carolina Fairgrounds. Luckily, the pilot did an excellent job landing the plane, and no injuries were reported.

Today we take a moment to honor not only the Charleston 9, but all firefighters who have given their lives in service to others and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Incident notification.

E403, E402, BAT401, and C404 responded to a fully involved tractor trailer this afternoon. E403 arrived on the scene within minutes of being dispatched and quickly knocked the fire down. E402 arrived second due and assisted with overhaul and water supply.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently unknown.
