One week down, and we’re off to a great start! 🎉

Our school has been full of learning, laughter, new routines, and plenty of opportunities to connect. We’re proud of the way our students have jumped into the new year and are already making our school community a wonderful place to learn and grow.

We loved welcoming everyone back and can’t wait to see what the rest of the school year brings!

Summer Lunches end this week, but we'll transition to After School Meals starting Monday! Operation Food Search will provide after school meals Monday-Friday at four branches. Stop by after school and enjoy a nutritious meal along with activities for kids. Meals must be eaten on-site and will be available free of charge for children ages 5-18. This Juneteenth, SSD recognizes and honors the history, resilience, and contributions of African Americans and the lasting significance of this day in our nation’s history.

Juneteenth offers an opportunity to reflect on the importance of freedom, acknowledge the ongoing pursuit of equity, and celebrate the strength and achievements of African American communities.

SSD buildings, schools, and programs will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.
