SVRFFC The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern Walker County in northwestern Georgia Northern Chattooga County in northwestern Georgia

Until 415 PM EDT.

At 329 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Cloudland, or near Summerville, moving east at 5 mph. HAZARD 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE Radar indicated. IMPACT Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include Lafayette, Summerville, Trion, La Fayette, Menlo, Center Post, Linwood, Cloudland, and Berryton.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. If you see wind damage hail or flooding wait until the storm has passed and then call the National Weather Service toll free at 1 8 6 6 7 6 3 4 4 6 6 or tweet us your report at NWSATLANTA.

With the power outage the traffic lights are affected as well so please treat the intersection as a four-way.

We just spoke with the crew and they expect power to be on within the next hour. Thank you for your patience as they work to restore this outage.

A tree has fallen on Duke Street, bringing down power lines and causing an outage on the North Circuit.

City crews have been notified and are on site working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding while repairs are underway.
