🐾💚 A PAW-some Visit at MPE! 💚🐾

Our 1st and 2nd graders had a special visitor today! They got to meet Bella, a K9 with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office! 🐕‍🦺🚔

Students loved learning about Bella, seeing some of her impressive skills, and discovering how K9 officers work alongside law enforcement to help keep our community safe. 👮‍♂️🐾

A huge THANK YOU to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office for taking the time to visit our Cubs and give them such a fun, memorable experience! 💚💛

Yesterday in Mme Caroline’s Social Studies class, students worked in prehistoric tribes, making decisions about shelter, food, tools, and survival. 🪨

Today, they foraged for natural “paintbrushes,” created paint from natural pigments, and used pictures and symbols to tell the story of their tribe’s adventure, just as prehistoric people used art to communicate and record their experiences. 🎨🌿

Two days of hands-on learning about hunter-gatherer societies, early tools and resources, and prehistoric life!
