🌡️ Cooling Centers Available This Week

With dangerously high temperatures and humidity in the forecast, several locations throughout Greater Lafayette are available for anyone who needs a safe, air-conditioned place to cool off.

LUM Main Office
420 S. 4th St.
Monday–Thursday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
LUM has been designated as a Cooling Station through Thursday this week for individuals who do not have a place to stay during the hottest parts of the day.

Additional places to stay cool include:
✅ All public library branches
✅ NAMI West Central Indiana – 615 N. 18th St., Suite 104 (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
✅ The HIVE Recovery Hub – 2300 Ferry St.
• Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
(Meals provided during open hours)
✅ LTHC Homeless Services – 815 N. 12th St. (Daily, 7:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
✅ Northend Community Center Senior Center (Ages 55+) – 2000 Elmwood Ave. (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Please check on your family, friends, neighbors, and anyone who may be vulnerable to the heat. Staying hydrated and taking breaks in air-conditioned spaces can help prevent heat related illnesses.
