Are you a retired social services worker, student, or community member looking for meaningful volunteer experience? LTHC could be a great fit for you.

Our Guest Services volunteers help create a welcoming and supportive environment for people experiencing homelessness in our community. From assisting at the front desk to helping guests navigate daily needs, volunteers play an important role in day-to-day operations at LTHC.

We are currently in need of the following items for our Engagement Center:

Underwear
• Men’s (M, L, XL, 2X)
• Women’s (S, M, L)

Hygiene Items
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Liquid body wash
• Chapstick
• Lotion
• Loofahs
• Sunscreen
• General hygiene items

These everyday essentials are some of our most requested items and help provide comfort, dignity, and care to our guests each day. We kindly ask that all underwear donations be new and unused.

On this Memorial Day, we honor the service members who never made it home. Their memory lives on in the freedoms we enjoy, and in how we care for those who served beside them. Next month, we’ll continue that care through our work with veterans in our community.

In June, LTHC will once again launch No Hero Should Be Homeless Month in support of veterans and their families experiencing homelessness in our community.

Through community partnerships, sponsorships, and our upcoming Motorcycle + Jeep Ride on June 20, this campaign helps provide housing-focused support, stability, and pathways home for local veterans.

Summer is one of the times we need our community the most. With many student volunteers away, LTHC could really use some extra helping hands.

For individuals and families experiencing homelessness in rural communities, rising gas prices and long travel distances can make accessing support more difficult than ever. When shelters, housing resources, healthcare, and other services are not located within someone’s county, transportation quickly becomes a major barrier.

Our Rural Homeless Outreach Team works to meet people where they are, traveling throughout surrounding rural counties to connect neighbors with housing support, resources, and pathways toward stability.

No one should have to go without help simply because they live miles away from it.

These items help individuals and families moving into housing create a place that feels like home. We are able to accept both new and gently used donations for these items.
