This morning Lafayette Fire department assisted Colesvillle Fire Department in getting their 1929 Pirsh running for the 250 celebration of our nation. Assistant Chief Andrew Maat has extensive experience keeping vehicles much older than him running. He was joined by firefighters Doug and David that wanted to learn. We got it started with the hand crank! Always happy to help our neighboring departments.

🚒⚡ EV Training Complete ⚡🚒
The Lafayette Township Fire Department recently completed Electric Vehicle (E.V.) Training alongside firefighters from the Sussex Fire & EMS Branchville Hose Company #1 and Beemerville Fire Company In total, nearly 60 firefighters attended this important hands-on training to better prepare our crews for the unique challenges presented by electric vehicle emergencies.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Royal Buick GMC for hosting the training and providing the opportunity to work with these vehicles in a real-world setting.
A special thank you to the Statewide Insurance Fund for teaching the class and sharing valuable knowledge and expertise with all who attended.
We would also like to thank Kevin Rudolph for generously supplying dinner for everyone during the training.
Training like this helps ensure our firefighters remain prepared, knowledgeable, and ready to serve our communities safely and effectively.

Monday night, members of the Lafayette Township Fire Department attended a training hosted by Andover Township Fire Department.

Firefighters from Andover Borough, Newton, Fredon, and Lafayette worked on search, forcible entry, and fire attack scenarios.

Thank you to Andover Township for including us in this great training opportunity.
