Safe Place provides access to immediate help and safety for all young people in crisis. More than 20,000 businesses and community organizations across the country extend the doors of their local youth shelter by displaying Safe Place's yellow and black diamond-shaped logo. Partnering businesses and community locations that appeal to youth -- such as fast food restaurants, convenience stores, fire

stations, public buses and libraries -- connect kids looking for help with a local youth service agency. National Safe Place also manages TXT 4 HELP, a 24-hour text-for-support service for youth in crisis to access immediate help and safety. Teens can text the the word SAFE and their current location (address, city, state) to 69866 and receive a text message with the name and address of the closest Safe Place location. Users also have the option to text interactively with a mental health professional for more help.
