🎉 In observance of Labor Day, Lafayette City Offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026. We wish you a safe and relaxing holiday as we honor the contributions of workers everywhere that shape our community.

Trash and recycling pick up will be delayed by one day this week with both Thursday and Friday collected on Friday. Thank you!

📣HOLIDAY REMINDER! Monday is Labor Day and City offices will be closed. With that might come a change to your regular trash and recycling pickup! Under the 2026 sanitation collection holiday schedule, residential trash and recycling routes will begin on designated days AFTER city-recognized holidays.

The Labor Day holiday is set for Monday, September 7, so Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday collection will be delayed BY ONE DAY. Friday, September 11, will still be collected as scheduled.

Registration is now OPEN for Fall Youth Basketball! This fun program focuses on teaching the basics of basketball in a safe and fun environment. For all kids ages 6-11 years old, this program is just $50 per child at McAllister Recreation Center.
