The Tippecanoe County CASA team has been getting into the Halloween spirit with the Boo at the Zoo Ghost Design Contest! 👻

From spooky to silly, heartfelt to downright hilarious, our staff put their creativity to work designing these BOO-tiful ghosts! 🎨

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Indiana GAL/CASA Conference! 💙

After a full few days of learning, sharing ideas, celebrating some very deserving people, and connecting with CASA programs from across Indiana, we finished our conference today with even more opportunities to learn and grow.

But some of the best parts of conference happen after the sessions end. ❤️

Friday night, our Tippecanoe County CASA crew headed out for dinner, laughter, stories, and some much-needed time just being together. Staff and volunteers don’t always get the chance to slow down and connect outside of the work we do, and nights like this remind us that relationships matter here, too.

We learned a lot this weekend. We brought home new ideas, new resources, and plenty to think about. But we also laughed. A LOT. 😂 We got to know one another a little better, strengthened connections, and made some pretty great memories along the way. Maybe one of these years we will finally manage to solve THE FROGS!!! 🐸🧩😉

And today, seeing our staff and volunteers together in front of those giant CASA letters felt like the perfect ending. Different roles. Different experiences. One team. One mission. Standing up for children. 💙

We’re heading home with full notebooks, tired brains, happy hearts, and probably a little too much caffeine still circulating through our systems. ☕😂

Thank you to our incredible staff and volunteers who gave up part of their weekend to learn, grow, connect, and become even stronger advocates for the children and families we serve. Thank you State CASA for putting on a great show!

Tippecanoe County CASA showed up. And I’m awfully proud of this crew. 💙

💙 Learning, Connecting & Celebrating at the 2026 Indiana GAL/CASA Conference!

The Tippecanoe County CASA crew has officially landed in Fort Wayne for the 2026 Indiana GAL/CASA Annual Conference, and we’re already filling our notebooks, our cups, and apparently our pockets with candy. ☕🥤🍬 Three-day conference necessities are serious business!

Jamie and Julie kicked things off yesterday by participating in roundtable discussions with CASA programs from across Indiana. It was such a valuable opportunity to hear what other programs are doing, share ideas and challenges, and come home with plenty of things to think about for our own program.

Today, Jamie, Cynthia, and Julie joined CASA staff and directors from around the state for a full day of learning, including conversations about connecting people to our mission, legal and legislative updates, family law cases, DCS, the safe use of AI in CASA work, dual-status youth, and upcoming changes to volunteer training.

But the absolute highlight of today was getting to celebrate our own Elizabeth Dunlap, who received the 2026 Indiana GAL/CASA Staff of the Year Award! 🏆💙

And Elizabeth had quite the Tippecanoe County cheering section! Judge Graham, Bee, Brittany, and René joined Jamie, Cynthia, and Julie to celebrate and support her as she received this incredibly well-deserved honor. Elizabeth has given so much of herself to CASA, first as a volunteer and then through years of service on staff. Seeing her recognized at the state level for the difference she has made was a pretty special moment for all of us.

Congratulations as well to Whitney Pennington of CASA of Jefferson County, who was honored as the 2026 Indiana GAL/CASA Director of the Year! 🎉

And we’re just getting started!

The rest of our staff and several of our amazing volunteers are joining us as the conference continues tomorrow. Tonight, though, we’re looking forward to something equally important: dinner, laughter, conversation, and time together outside the office. Because conferences aren’t only about what happens in the sessions. They’re also about strengthening relationships, exchanging ideas, and remembering that all across Indiana, there are people united by the same mission.

Tomorrow brings another full day of learning, connecting, and bringing new ideas back home to Tippecanoe County.

But first… caffeine. And possibly another package of M&M’s. 😂☕🍬

🎉 Congratulations to Isaiah 117 House Tippecanoe County on ONE YEAR! 🎉

We are excited to help celebrate the first anniversary of Isaiah 117 House and the incredible difference they are making for children entering foster care in our community. ❤️🏠

Isaiah 117 House is hosting an Open House on Monday, September 28 from 5–7 PM. Guests will have an opportunity to tour the house, enjoy refreshments, hear about their first year, ask questions, and learn more about the important work happening there.

CASA and Isaiah 117 House share something very important: a commitment to making an incredibly difficult time in a child’s life a little less frightening and a lot more supported.

We are grateful to have them in our community and look forward to continuing to work alongside them for the children we serve.
