Join the City of Lafayette and Commuting Solutions Monday, Sept. 28 from 8 to 9 am at the Lafayette Park-and-Ride to celebrate the new RTD Denver AL Skyride line. This new route provides daily service to Denver International Airport, serving the Lafayette Park-and-Ride hourly from 6 am to 10 pm.

Lafayette’s updated Land Use Code has been adopted

City Council adopted Lafayette’s updated Land Use Code and zoning map on Sept. 15. The new code will take effect Feb. 1, 2027.

The Land Use Code guides how land can be used and developed throughout Lafayette.

Between now and Feb. 1, the City will continue preparing for implementation and refining the code to improve clarity and consistency.

💧 Thank you, Lafayette, for doing your part!

Thanks to water-saving efforts across our community, Lafayette reached its Stage 1 drought goal of reducing water use by 10%.

Since April, residents, businesses and City operations have worked together to make every drop count. Those savings add up to approximately one-third of the water in Waneka Lake, enough to supply about 600 homes for an entire year.

City Parks staff have also helped conserve water by adjusting irrigation and prioritizing water use across parks and City facilities.

While reaching 10% is an important milestone, drought conditions continue. Please keep up your water-wise habits and follow Stage 1 water restrictions through the remainder of the season.
