It's Colorado Heat Pump Week, and there's no better time to explore what a heat pump can do for your home.

Upgrading your home's heating and cooling doesn't have to feel overwhelming, and with a heat pump, the benefits go far beyond keeping your home comfortable.
Think:
✅ Quieter comfort
✅ Consistent temperatures
✅ Cleaner indoor air
✅ One system that works year-round
✅ Peace of mind

Thank you to our summer interns! This summer, the City welcomed a new group of interns who gained hands-on experience in local government. They supported projects and services that benefit our community, and their fresh perspectives helped strengthen our organization. As their time comes to a close, we want to thank them for the impact they made during their time with Lafayette.

More Feet on the Street Next Week - Drive Safely: Kids are heading back to school next week on Aug. 12

Drivers, please be prepared for more pedestrian traffic.
• When backing out of a driveway or leaving a garage, watch out for children walking or bicycling to school.
• When driving in neighborhoods with school zones, watch out for young people who may be thinking about getting to school, but may not be thinking of getting there safely.
• Slow down. Watch for children walking in the street, especially if there are no sidewalks in neighborhood.
• Watch for children playing and congregating near bus stops.
• Be alert. Children arriving late for the bus may dart into the street without looking for traffic.

Join the City of Lafayette for a community conversation focused on the renovations of the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center. Hear an updated project overview and see current design concepts. The morning session will be focused on older adult services and amenities. For the afternoon session, we encourage current recreation center passholders, youth program participants, and all interested community members to join us and learn about these exciting facility updates. Small group activities at both events will focus on feedback on current services and visions for future services and amenities. Spanish-language interpretation will be available.
