During Monday afternoon’s Commission meeting, the Chambers County Commission continued its celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

Commissioner James “Moto” Williams presented county employees with commemorative tokens to mark this monumental milestone in American history.

The Commission also visited the Agricultural Park in LaFayette to see the Liberty Tree, which serves as a living legacy of America’s 250th anniversary. A plaque will soon be placed in front of the tree explaining the significance of its planting.

We are proud to celebrate this historic milestone and honor the legacy of our great nation! 🇺🇸

At the ACCA Annual Conference last week, Commissioner Eastridge was recognized for his 28 years of service as a Chambers County Commissioner.

We will certainly miss you when you leave office in November, but we are incredibly thankful for your many years of hard work and dedication to Chambers County.

Commissioner Debra Riley did a wonderful job presenting today at the Association of County Commissions of Alabama’s 98th Annual Convention!

Commissioner Riley spoke about expanding access to mental health care, an issue she is extremely passionate about. We are proud to see her advocate for stronger mental health resources and better access to care for Chambers County and the State of Alabama.

CONTRIBUTED TO THE LAFAYETTE SUN CHAMBERS COUNTY — For the second year in a row, public officials and employees in Chambers County earned statewide recognition for their special efforts to improve safety and reduce accidents in the workplace. During National Safety Month, county officials and
