Meet John Edward!

We are excited to continue introducing you to our amazing Shade Tree Cafe team!

John Edward Clostio is 24 years old and graduated from Acadiana High School in 2022. He is a very social young man who makes friends everywhere he goes! John Edward stays active with Special Olympics, participating in bowling, pickleball, track, and horseshoes.

He has been part of the DREAMS team for three years and loves his job making our famous meat pies!

John Edward is excited about the expansion of the Shade Tree Cafe and can't wait to meet new people and serve our amazing customers. We are so happy to have him on our team!

We are excited to announce our Camp Unique Reunion at Thomas Park on September 26 from 3–5 PM!

If you’ve attended Camp Unique at any point over the last 15 years, we want you to come reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate all the amazing memories we’ve shared. We’ll enjoy fun activities with Coach Damon and Ms Amie with have some arts for you to do! We will look back on past camps, and of course—eat pizza together!

Wear your favorite Camp Unique shirt—whether it’s from last year or from ten years ago. We can’t wait to see all the colors, all the teams, and all the memories walking through the gym!

Meet Lex!

Lex has been part of the DREAMS family since 2015, when he attended his first Dreams summer camp. Since then, he has participated in countless programs and events, building friendships and finding a place where he truly belongs.

After graduating high school in 2018, Lex became an employee of Dreams Manufacturing Company, helping make our famous meat pies. He has also served as the Dreams Blogger and is a wonderful advocate for our mission.

Lex loves dancing, making friends, and being part of Dreams! We are so excited to have him on our Shade Tree Cafe team!
