We are actively monitoring Invest 91L and are in close communication with the National Weather Service and our local emergency preparedness partners.

At this time, we encourage everyone to stay informed, review your hurricane plans, and continue monitoring official updates. We will share additional information as it becomes available.

🌀 Tropical Update: NHC has increased the chance of development for Invest 91L from 60% to 80% over the next 2 days.

Minor increases in rain chances and unsettled marine conditions remain possible early this week. Stay tuned for updates. 👀

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote today. The renewal of these millages allows Lafourche Parish to continue providing essential public services, and I remain committed to being a responsible steward of your tax dollars while working every day to make our parish stronger.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote. The renewal of the Public Buildings & Maintenance, Recreation, and Parish Health Unit millages ensures these important services can continue serving our community.

From maintaining public buildings and supporting parks and recreation to providing essential public health services, these renewals help keep Lafourche Parish moving forward.

While today’s vote provides stability, our work doesn’t stop here. We remain committed to being responsible stewards of these public resources, improving how we deliver services, and building a stronger, more efficient parish for the future.

Tomorrow, I’m asking for your support one more time.

I know many of you have concerns about taxes, and I hear you. Tomorrow’s vote isn’t the end of that conversation—it’s the beginning. We have a plan to pursue meaningful tax reform while protecting the services our community depends on.

These renewals fund recreation, public health, and the buildings that house our courts, public safety, and other vital government services.

I respectfully ask for your support tomorrow. Thank you for your trust, your prayers, and your vote.

I always appreciate the opportunity to sit down with people who care about Lafourche Parish and want to have honest conversations about our community's future.

Thanks to the The Group Chat Podcast for the invitation. We spent some time talking about the upcoming millage renewals, what they support, and why these investments are important to recreation, public health, and the facilities that serve our residents every day.
