LVPOA August Board Meeting recap:

The POA remains financially strong, with revenue meeting expectations. Inflation affects expenses, but we’re seeking savings while maintaining facilities and services by shopping insurance carriers and adjusting plans.

We discussed UManage issues following its 2.0 conversion. Chris and staff are addressing them while exploring other software. A new public LVPOA website is expected September 1, making information easier to share.

Parks and marina:
• Lake Travis is around 679 feet and looking great.
• A kayak rack is moving to Cody Park after an accessibility request.
• Cody Park’s post-and-cable project is nearly complete.
• Bar-K’s road reseal is September 2–4.
• The burn ban remains in effect.

The LVPOA We**ie Roast is September 26, 6–8 PM, at Cody Park—first come, first served until the dogs run out! Other ideas include a parks passport, photo contest, and possible winter Trail of Lights at the campground.

We began discussing 2027 annual assessments; no decision was made. Members favor smaller, regular adjustments over infrequent large increases. We reviewed inflation, operating costs, reserves, and our CPA’s similar recommendation, while emphasizing savings and efficiency before finalizing the budget.

The Board approved the 2026–2027 insurance package; flood insurance will be quoted separately. Shopping carriers and adjusting coverage helped control costs.

Nominations are open through September 15 for two Board seats. Apply through the member portal.

We discussed two LVPOA-owned parcels without identified uses. No sale was approved; discussions will continue.

In executive session, the Board discussed property with possible long-term benefits and approved pursuing a potential purchase. More details will follow as the process progresses.

Thank you to everyone who attended or joined on Zoom. Your participation shapes these conversations.
