In addition to the fun programs staff are hosting, every Wednesday during June and July we'll have special performers visiting and sharing stories, music, magic, and even animals!

Our first Summer Reading Program visitor is Out of the Box: Dino Discovery!

Step back 65 million years and experience the most realistic, interactive dinosaur encounter available! See and touch real fossils and the tools used to find them and learn all about dinosaurs and how fossils are made with Out of the Box’s Dino Discovery program!

Join us in the LaGrange Memorial Library Community Room at 1 PM on Wednesdays for all your Summer Reading Program fun!

All Summer Reading Program events are free and open to the public.

We had the most dino-mite Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Carnival!! The numbers are in, and we had over 1,000 people in our building on Saturday!

A huuuuuge library thank you to our friends from Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, The Jungle Bus, Get Troup Reading, Well Star Small Talk, and Kona Ice of LaGrange for coming and hanging out with us and our wonderful patrons!

An even bigger thank you to our volunteers - this wouldn't have been possible without you!!

Join us for a super spectacular Kick-Off Carnival full of family-friendly fun on TODAY from 11 AM - 3 PM! We're turning the LaGrange Memorial Library into a giant party!

We'll have games, prizes, popcorn, and Kona Ice of LaGrange, The Jungle Bus, Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, Get Troup Reading, and Wellstar Small Talk are visiting as well!

All ages will be able to sign up for our Summer Reading Program in-person the day of the carnival or online via Beanstack. Visit thrl.beanstack.org to register online today!

With each sign up, participants will receive their own reading and activity log, a book, and a goodie bag!

These tactile open-play activities can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities. It's all part of a big Summer Reading Kickoff Carnival at the library, with lots of free things for families to do and see. We encourage our GLS patrons in the area to come enjoy the event, and we extend a warm welcome to everyone else to stop by the GLS carnival station and see what all the excitement is about. The Branch Manager is responsible for the daily operations, staff management, and community engagement of the LaGrange Memorial Library. This role blends administrative leadership with hands-on public service. The ideal candidate will foster a welcoming environment and lead a dedicated team of circulation and programming staff. At least two years of experience in a library is required.
