During a wonderful trip to the Hope Rising Farm the Traver Rd. kindergarteners learned all about the different farm animals, read to horses, painted pictures on a horse and were able to feed and interact with bunnies, goats, miniature horses and donkeys. The group rounded out the trip with a tractor ride to the cow pasture. The weather was perfect, the animals were adorable and kindergarteners had a blast!

At West Rd., 5th grade's Shark Tank activity was the perfect way to wrap up everything the students have learned so far. This unique project helped students step back and look at the big picture on how the global trade of goods and ideas throughout history has shaped our modern world.

For their final challenge, students brainstormed innovative products designed to solve a real community problem or meet a local need. Projects were presented during a special Shark Tank night. Check out these creative ideas!

Congratulations to the 16 recipients of the annual Charlie Johnson awards. These students demonstrate characteristics of loyalty, brotherhood, selflessness, courage, compassion, responsibility, patriotism and integrity that exemplify Charlie Johnson's values.

On June 12, 1953, Arlington High School graduate Charlie Johnson (Class of 1951) was killed in action at Outpost Harry during the Korean War. He died while single-handedly saving the lives of nine wounded soldiers, including fellow Arlington alumnus Donald Dingee (Class of 1950). More than 70 years later, on January 3, 2025, President Biden posthumously awarded Johnson the Congressional Medal of Honor. Today, his legacy continues to inspire Arlington students, teaching them timeless lessons in character and valor.
