d Board of Directors oversees policy-making, financial stewardship, rate-setting, capital programs, and long-term planning for the District. The General Manager reports to the Board and leads the organization in the planning and implementation of District priorities set by the Board.

Small Project, Big Win for Reservoir 2B! 🏆

South Coast Water District was honored to accept the Small Project of the Year Award last night at the ACEC Orange County Annual Awards Banquet for the Reservoir 2B Replacement Project. Alongside Peterson Structural Engineers, Inc., honored as the project’s structural engineers.

This important project strengthens water reliability and wildfire preparedness in South Laguna Beach.

A proud full-circle moment at last night’s Board meeting! ⭐ One of our San Clemente High School Futures™ student groups presented their concept for a future Doheny Desal Discovery Center to the SCWD Board of Directors.

Their ideas brought fresh thinking, thoughtful design, and a strong sense of community to the future of water education in South Orange County.

Thank you, San Clemente Times, for highlighting the incredible work of San Clemente High School students through the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce's Futures workforce program.

Our sponsored Futures semester culminated in a student challenge focused on designing a concept for a future Doheny Desal Discovery Center, an on-site public education and tour facility for the Doheny Ocean Desalination Project.

SCWD staff and Board members were proud to attend City of Laguna Beach - Government's State of the City Mayor’s Luncheon. We were especially excited to see SCWD’s Reservoir 2B Project featured in the Mayor’s keynote presentation as part of the City’s discussion on wildfire preparedness.

As the water district serving South Laguna Beach, we’re grateful to be part of this incredible coastal community and to support the infrastructure that helps keep it safe, resilient, and prepared.
