This past week I had the honor of being sworn in for a fourth term. Thank you to my community who showed so much support throughout this election season. I’m proud to continue to serve and knowing that my community trusts my voice and service is truly a blessing. Special thank you to my village, Judge Helen, my contributors and my right hand Frank Davalos Jr.

What can I say that I haven’t already said…

Laguna Vista has spoken.
Laguna Vista has chosen its voice.
Laguna Vista has made it clear, it will accept nothing less than leadership that is transparent, honest, and truly for the people.

I am incredibly proud and deeply grateful for the overwhelming support. Your belief, your trust, and your presence at the polls mean everything to me. I do not take this responsibility lightly, not for one moment. While some may have said to breathe easy, I knew this was never about comfort… it was about commitment, to our people, to our families, and to our future.

To everyone who stood with me, thank you.
To those who challenged me, thank you as well. You’ve strengthened my resolve and reminded me that growth comes from every experience.
Laguna Vista, I am here for you, today and por siempre.

On the eve of Election Day 2026, I find myself reflecting on all that this journey has taught me through my time on the Town Council.

I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I’ve witnessed how quickly a crowd can shift the tide and how influence can attempt to sway minds. Through it all, I have remained grounded in my values. I have chosen to lead with integrity, never once denouncing another candidate or fellow Councilmember because I believe leadership should unite, not divide. We should be able to agree to disagree because we are not robots and should think independently.

This seat does not belong to any one person.
This seat belongs to the people.
This seat belongs to our town.

Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. The lessons, the challenges, and the growth are things I will carry with me always. To every community member who believed in me, supported me, and stood beside me, thank you. To those that opposed me, thank you. You have challenged me, strengthened me, and taught me lessons that I could not have learned any other way.

My voice has always been your voice. And I thank each of you for giving me this opportunity to be that sound on the council these last nine years. I’ve served with pride and never took it for granted. Even through balancing a teaching and coaching schedule, being a mom, wife and caregiver, I was all in and will continue to be if it’s God’s will.

May God bless each and every one of you, and may He continue to bless our town—now and always.

We are definitely hooked on Laguna Vista! 🎣

Yesterday at Roloff Park, we handed out 90 fish plates and, more importantly, spent time listening. Hearing community members share real concerns about the timing and pace of our projects truly struck a chord with me.

Our town cannot afford to move in slow motion. We need progress, accountability, and leadership that understands how to keep things moving forward—without missing a beat.

Voting for me means continued accountability and experience—no learning curve, just commitment to getting the job done for our community.

Today’s message at church about Good Shepherd Sunday really resonated. It reminded me that what Laguna Vista needs are strong, steady leaders—good shepherds—who will guide, listen, and act with purpose.

Let’s keep moving forward, together.

Reflections from the WLV Local Forum

📌I appreciated the opportunity to meet so many engaged residents who care deeply about the direction of our community. That level of involvement matters, and it’s something I will always support.

📌As the only current council member present, I took seriously the responsibility to answer the questions that others could not. Leadership means showing up, being accessible, and addressing concerns head-on. Our citizens deserve to be heard, every single one of them, regardless of differing opinions.

📌I don’t shy away from tough conversations, I welcome them. Transparency, accountability, and open dialogue are essential if we are going to move our community forward together.

📌Regardless of opinions about the event itself, I was there to listen, to engage, and to provide clarity, not as a spokesperson for anyone else, but as someone committed to explaining the challenges, turnover, and instability our municipal government has faced, and more importantly, how we move forward.

The forum was not a waste of time nor was it a circus. I will continue to show up, speak honestly, and work for our entire community.
