Please join us in congratulating Cameron and Carson on graduating from the 2026 Clinton County Fire Academy!

This achievement is no small accomplishment. The academy is a demanding six-month program that meets three days a week and requires countless additional hours of studying, training, and testing outside of class. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the fire service have paid off.

We are proud of the hard work they have put in and are excited to see them take the knowledge and skills they have gained and apply them to real-world fire service operations.

Congratulations, Cameron and Carson! We look forward to watching your careers continue to grow and wish you both success and safety in the years ahead.

Congratulations Cameron Betts and Carson Southwell along with the rest of the class

And that’s a wrap! Today, students from the Clinton County Fire Academy completed their State of Michigan Practical Exam to finish off the 6 month long academy.

We had students from the following departments complete their practical exam:

🚒Dallas Township Fire Department
🚒DeWitt Area Firefighters Association
🚒East Lansing Firefighters Local 1609
🚒Elsie Area Fire Department

🚒Ovid Middlebury Fire Dept.
🚒St. Johns Fire Department

The students are now anxiously awaiting the results the state written exam that they took on Wednesday.

We’d like to congratulate our own Firefighter Noah VanKampen and St. Johns Police Department - Michigan Deputy Police Chief Andy Tobias for successfully completing the class and their practical exam today.
