TO -- SCIOTA TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS: I have been inundated with election business recently and am diligently working to address many concerns. Today, I found a glitch with my telephone voicemail system which did not indicate that messages were waiting to be heard--I have resolved this issue. I sincerely apologize that you were unable get in touch with me. Please know, I am steadily following up with your concerns.

If your question pertains to absentee voting; all ballots have been sent out. The USPS mail system has been inundated with mass mailings for the last 2-weeks and the holiday weekend was likely a setback as well; however, if you haven't received your absentee ballot yet, please wait until 7/10 before contacting me. My regular working hours are normally part-time throughout the year; however, I will be working full-time in the office through August 8th.

REMINDER of voter registration deadlines prior to the upcoming August 6th State Primary Election. I HOPE THESE LINKS ARE HELPFUL.

Sciota Township voters, there will be 2 Millage proposals for all voters (LSW Services Millage and Pleasant View County Medical Care Facility renewal), and Ovid-Elsie School District voters will be voting on 3 Millage proposals (Pleasant View County Medical Care Facility renewal; and LSW Services Millage and Clinton County RESA Millage proposals).

REGISTER TO VOTE ONLINE-DEADLINE 7/22: If there are 15+ days before an election, voters can register online, by mail, or in person at the clerk's office. The online voter registration link is turned off and resumes after the upcoming election has been held. https://mvic.sos.state.mi.us/RegisterVoter

Heads up! 🍺 The weather is getting nicer and the B**r Garden will be moving back outside!
The move will be happening April 29th in the morning and the bar will not open until 4PM.
The bar will no longer be in the greenhouse, our vegetable plants will take its place for the planting season. 🌱 As well as this, our live music will be temporarily suspended during the move but will be back after a few weekends.
The Tavern will still be open and operating on regular hours.

Beyond the waves:

A spring storm has arrived! Wind gusts topping over 40mph have stirred up the waters of Lake Superior. Wave heights forecasting close to 10-12ft here in the Twin Ports. The North pier lighthouse seen here peeking through wave crashing into the breakwater.
