Thanks to everyone who helped with Bingo yesterday for Fish Days. Marvin G and Mike S were very entertaining callers. Library board members Sally F and Joanne S were in charge of the money. Nora S and Janet E for being runners ,and Anthony FH for helping set up and tear down. Thanks to everyone who played bingo and helped clean up. The library almost made $500 for the snack program.

Library will be open today until 5pm. The library will be closed tomorrow (Sat) . Reminder the 605 MagicArt Bus will be parked across from the Fire Station and is free to participate.
Library will begin serving summer meals, provided by the Lake Andes Food and Wellness Council on Monday, June 8 for children ages 3-18. The child must be present to receive the take and heat up meal. 11-1 serving time.
Summer programming starts Monday at 1:00 for K-1st grade, 2-3rd grade at 2:00 and 4-5th grade at 3:00.

Waylon, Xara and Ezra helped to put together the compost bin that was given to the library by "Let's Go and Compost"and the worms by "Hungry Worms" as the worms arrived today. Exciting new adventure.

Want to learn more about our brave woman who homesteaded on the Dakota prairies?
Come and meet award winning author CK Van Dam a daughter of Dakota Frontier. She is a South Dakota native who writes historical fiction/ western romance about strong women who have built our nation and our world.
So far, CK Van Dam has written four books in her claim series, On the Dakota Frontier, Proving Her Claim, Lone tree Claim, Medicine Creek and Iron Horse Claim. She has also written a middle grade schoolbook entitled, When the Chokecherries Bloom and Every Dog needs a Kid.
Her books are well researched and based on fact even tho they are fiction. She paints the scenes, so the reader is enveloped in the story.
CK Van Dam will give her presentation of “Women Tamed the Frontier” on June 10 at 1:30 in the American Legion on Main Street in Geddes.
All are welcome to come and meet her and learn more about our past female heritage on the frontier.
Free admission.
Cookies and drinks will be served.
