Lake Benton Fire Department

Lake Benton Fire Department Meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. The oldest service organization in Lake Benton is the local volunteer fire department.

Lake Benton Fire Department was organized January 10, 1893. Today, the department is comprised of citizens of Lake Benton who volunteer their services to provide top-notch fire protection to the city and the surrounding service area. Each volunteer fireman spends at least one evening a month attending meetings and training sessions. In addition to this training, they also attend two fire schools

and five regional fire meetings. Department members have also received hazardous materials training. Pat McCarthy is the present fire chief of the Lake Benton Fire Department.

A huge Thank you to the Pipestone Fire Department, Tyler Fire Dept. Tyler Ambulance, Lake Benton First Responders, MN duty officers, and surrounding law enforcement officers, along with with all the public support providing water and treats. This could have been catastrophic for the businesses connected to this building. If anyone has seen anything out of the ordinary around "Homer's bar" in the last 48 hours please call this number. Hey everyone! Saddlehorse weekend is fast approaching and that means that it’s almost time for the Lake Benton Fire Department’s annual street dance fundraiser!
