In honor of Dolly Parton and the incredible legacy she leaves behind, we’re highlighting one of the many ways her love of reading continues to make a difference. ❤️📚

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children from birth to age 5 can receive a free, high-quality book in the mail every month. The program is available to families throughout Lake County thanks to the Lake County Regional Office of Education Foundation.

Since its founding in 1995, the Imagination Library has helped put books into the hands—and homes—of millions of young readers.

The Library’s exterior railings will be replaced August 26 through August 31. During this time, access through the main entrance may be temporarily impacted, but the entrance will remain open throughout the project.

Library users and Lake Bluff History Museum visitors will continue to have access to the building. Please use caution when entering and exiting while work is underway.

UPDATE 8/25: We have received confirmation that internet service will not be impacted. Installation work will begin Wednesday, August 26, and Library users may see workers on site while the work is underway.

The Library may experience limited internet access on Tuesday, 8/25 and Wednesday, 8/26 due to scheduled service work.

If service is interrupted, access to Wi-Fi, printing, the Library catalog, online resources, and Library account information may be limited.
