A Warm Day Can Turn Dangerous Fast

Did you know that the temperature inside a parked vehicle can rise dramatically in just minutes. Never leave children, pets, or vulnerable adults unattended in a vehicle. A quick stop isn’t worth the risk.

If you see a child or pet left alone in a hot car, call 911 immediately.

Summer cookout season is officially here!

Whether you’re firing up burgers, brats, or your favorite BBQ recipes, remember that grilling safety is just as important as the food on the menu.

Before you light the grill, keep these safety reminders in mind:

Place grills well away from homes, decks, fences, and low-hanging branches
Remove grease and buildup regularly to help prevent flare-ups
Have a fire extinguisher close by and ready to use
Never leave a hot grill unattended
Keep children and pets at least 3 feet away from the cooking area

A little preparation goes a long way toward keeping your summer fun safe for everyone. Enjoy the holiday weekend and happy grilling!

Tickets for the 49th Annual Lake Bluff Firemen’s Ball are now available!

The members of Lake Bluff Squad Co. 451 assisted a neighboring agency at a structure fire with a crew of 6 firefighters. Working alongside our mutual aid partners, crews operated to support fireground operations and bring the incident under control safely and efficiently.

The Lake Bluff Fire Department is proud to serve our residents and support neighboring departments whenever called upon.

What a great day at the First Responder Expo at Gurnee Mills! 🚒🚓🚨

We truly enjoyed spending time with the community, meeting so many great people, and sharing a behind-the-scenes look at what first responders do every day.

One of the biggest highlights was teaming up with the Lincolnshire - Riverwoods Fire Protection District for the live auto extrication demonstration. It was a fantastic example of teamwork, coordination, and dedication in action!

Thank you to everyone who came out to visit, ask questions, take photos, and support your local first responders. We appreciate the incredible turnout and can’t wait to be back again next year!
