Families!

As we settle into the 2026–2027 school year, we want to wish all of our students and families a year filled with learning, growth, curiosity, and joy!

Every child brings unique strengths, bright ideas, and incredible potential. Together, families, teachers, and staff will work to nurture that potential while building confidence, independence, and resilience.

Clear communication with our families is important to us. To help easily recognize updates from the district, all CPSB text messages will continue to come from the following numbers and will begin with “CPSB”:
General messages: 337-243-6499
Emergency messages: 337-243-6530

We recommend saving these numbers in your phone as “CPSB” or under your child’s school name so you can quickly identify texts from the district. These numbers are used only for text messages. Phone calls will continue to come from your school’s main phone number or the district's number. Federal regulations require separate numbers for mass text messages and voice calls.

School supply lists for the 2026-2027 school year are now available online! Elementary and middle school supply lists are available at the link below. High school students will receive supply requirements from their individual teachers since supplies vary by course. A massive thank you to the team of people who worked hard feeding kids all summer. 👏👏

This crew (& others) distributed 40,000 boxes with 560,000 meals to families across the community. ❤️

In the heat 🥵 and rain ☔️, they showed up each week so kids in Calcasieu had access to healthy food.

Good news! Breakfast and lunch will once again be available at no cost for all CPSB students during the 2026-2027 school year. No action is required from families. Our School Nutrition team is getting ready for another great year, and the August menus will be posted soon. Menus are always available on our website at https://bit.ly/4tSUx0a.
