Fun fact about me: I’ve written a few thousand poems in my life. I go through phases when I write a poem every day, usually when I have something I really want to say. Like a diary that rhymes (most of the time).

Running for Congress against Clay Higgins has inspired me to write today. I may pick it up again until the election. Hope you enjoy the Poem of the Day. ✍🏼✅

If we haven’t met yet, I’m John Day and I’m running for Congress. I believe Louisiana’s third district deserves better, and can do better, than Clay Higgins. When I get to Washington, I’ll use my expertise in healthcare, insurance, and government oversight to bring down costs and create tangible change for our communities.

Red or Blue, Clay Higgins ain’t done 💩 for you!

The team and I had a blast tailgating at McNeese this weekend. Unlike my opponent, I love getting out into to talk with the people I’m running to serve!

This weekend was packed with conversations in the community and celebrating what makes special. I had a great time with Louisiana Democratic Party at New Iberia’s Sugar Cane Festival & Farmer’s Tractor Parade on Friday, and tailgating at McNeese State in Lake Charles on Saturday. 🏈

Thank you to Jeremy A. Stevens for getting these incredible shots.

Election Day is coming up QUICK! Early voting starts October 20th. Make sure you have a plan to Vote for the Day you Deserve 🗳️✅
