Where: Sulphur Public Library
When: Wednesday September 16 th
Time: 4 to 5 P.m.

Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite doll, toy, or stuffed animal to a story time with the Junior League of Lake Charles. After a short story, participants will be encouraged to practice reading aloud to their dolls, toys, or stuffed animals. Light refreshments and a craft will be provided.

Today, we recognize Women’s Equality Day by celebrating the strength, leadership, and compassion of women who continue to create change in our community.

Junior League of Lake Charles is proud to support initiatives that uplift women, children, and families through service and partnership. From supporting organizations like Harbor House and CASA, to initiatives such as Women’s Shelter baskets and Find the Good Day, our members work together to meet community needs and provide meaningful support.

When women come together through service, communities become stronger.

MARSHES TO MANSIONS COOKBOOKS WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON!
We're thrilled to share that JLLC has finalized an agreement for the sale of Marshes to Mansions, one of our beloved League cookbooks, with a publishing partner who will bring it back into print. This has been a labor of love and we will have this piece of JLLC history available again very, very soon!
You'll be able to grab your copy starting in early October at select preferred local retailers, or find us at Mistletoe & Moss, November 20–22 at the Event Center.

Today, we celebrate National Nonprofit Day by recognizing the power of volunteer leadership and the lasting impact of community service.

For decades, Junior League of Lake Charles has supported meaningful initiatives that strengthen our community. Our legacy projects have helped shape the organizations and programs that continue to make a difference today, including Family & Youth, Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana, the Lake Charles Symphony, and the Imperial Calcasieu Museum.

These partnerships and projects represent generations of members working together to identify needs, create solutions, and leave a lasting legacy.
