THE N.W.S. HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WATCH FOR NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN ERIE COUNTY UNTIL THIS EVENENING, DUE TO HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED BETWEEN 1 AND 3 ADDITIONAL INCHES

Flash Flood Warning for... Erie County in northwestern Pennsylvania...
Until 330 AM EDT. At 1138 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Erie, Corry, North East, Union City, Girard, Waterford, Wattsburg, Northwest Harborcreek, Harborcreek, Lawrence Park, Wesleyville, Lake City, Platea, McKean, Elgin, Northwest Harborcr and Avonia.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

LCFC on the return from back to back water rescue responses. Off of Conneaut Harbor (Ohio) and off Walnut Creek Access.
There were 2 simultaneous incidents off of Conneaut Harbor for capsized vessels and one reported off of Walnut Creek.
Great job to the good samaritans on the water today!

LCFC on the return from a possible structure fire on Wedgewood Drive, assisting to Fairview Lake Shore Fire. Girard Fire was also on the response.

🚨 Shout-Out Saturday! 🚨

A big shout-out to the Lake City Fire Department for inviting our crews to join them for a joint training this past Monday!

We were incredibly impressed by the knowledge, experience, and specialized equipment their team has available for water emergencies. It was a great opportunity for our crews to learn together, see their equipment firsthand, and better understand how we can work side-by-side when we're called to an emergency on the water.

Training together makes all of us better prepared to serve our communities when it matters most.
