🚨 WANTED / PERSON OF INTEREST 🚨

Law Enforcement is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Chad Hickman, 39, of the Lake City/Jennings area, who is being sought as a person of interest in a Missaukee County shooting investigation.

Hickman may be driving a white pickup truck with a discolored tailgate.

⚠️ Hickman is considered armed and dangerous. DO NOT approach or attempt to make contact.

If you see him or have information regarding his whereabouts, call 911 immediately. Please do not put yourself or others at risk.

🚧 Traffic Advisory – Greatest Fourth in the North Parade 🇺🇸

The Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind residents and visitors that several roadways will be closed for the Greatest Fourth in the North Parade on Saturday, July 4.

Road closures will begin promptly at 9:15 a.m. at the following intersections:

• Lakeshore Drive & First Street (Beeler Road)
• Houghton Lake Road & Burkett Road
• Decker Road & Houghton Lake Road
• M-66 & Sanborn Road

Please see the attached map for clarification of the road closures and affected areas.

If you plan to attend the parade, which begins at 10:00 a.m., please allow yourself extra travel time and arrive early. Once the roads are closed, access to the parade route will be limited until it is safe to reopen traffic.

Our deputies are there to keep everyone safe—not to inconvenience anyone. We’ve provided advance notice, so plan ahead, leave a little earlier, and help us make this a safe and enjoyable event for all.

*THE JUVENILE HAS BEEN LOCATED*

🚨 PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUEST – JUVENILE RUNAWAY 🚨

The Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Victoria Ann Myers, a 14-year-old female who has been reported as a runaway.

Victoria is approximately 5’0” tall, weighs 100 lbs, and has red hair. She was last seen yesterday afternoon at lunchtime at Lake City School wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and checkered flannel pants.

If you have any information regarding Victoria’s whereabouts, please contact the Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office at 231-839-4338.
